I had the good fortune of hearing Jason talk about this book when it was in "concept" phase a couple of years ago. I was anxious to pick up the final product a few weeks ago and was impressed with how the content evolved since Jason and I last spoke. I had my teenage son read certain chapters and he really enjoyed it. Young Leaders 3.0 could be read as a manifesto for getting your child into an elite college. It's not about that at all. Perhaps that's been the byproduct for many of the young leaders profiled, but their personal stories are actually a profile in self-discovery and managing the terrain as a young adult in an increasingly complex world with all of its attendant anxieties and pressures. Jason's subjects will give other young people the confidence to be themselves instead of feeling the need to fit in or doing what's expected of them like automatons. It's a fabulous read, replete with actual practical tips to deal with high school and college strewn throughout the compelling and sometimes moving personal accounts.Tags : Buy Young Leaders 3.0: Stories, Insights, and Tips for Next-Generation Achievers: Read 44 Kindle Store Reviews - Amazon.com,ebook,Jason L. Young Leaders 30 Stories Insights and Tips for NextGeneration Achievers eBook Jason L Ma Reviews
An inspiring well organized book. The individual stories of these amazing teenagers gives me hope for the future.
The book is interesting and informative! I enjoyed reading about the young leaders of today and what helped shape them in their lives. Highly recommend it!
Highly recommend this book. Easy read. Great insights to the challenges faced by the late teens/young adults and their formulas for success in overcoming the challenges. As a parent I am grateful for the opportunity to hear their stories.
This is an extraordinary book! Not only for young entrepreneurs but also for C-level officers and executives in the corporate world as it helps us understand the millennials. It's a must-read for high school students, college kids, grad students, investors and even admission counselors in both developed and developing countries.
As a graduate of SFSU, I just want to take a moment to say that I have been getting ahead in reading the book and I am truly overwhelmed by how connected I feel to some of these students and their stories, especially Ngan. I have read Sonia's and Leila's stories as well but Ngan's really hit home with me and I have also reached out to her to express my gratitude towards her for taking the time to share her story and open up about her struggles.
Coming from a traditional Indian-American household, I have felt pressures from my parents to become a medical doctor as well. Finding the courage and voice to share with my parents that my interests to work in the medical field is fleeting and that my true passions lie in research, technology, and entrepreneurship has been rather challenging. It's been a process that is currently nowhere near acceptance and peace yet. I am grateful towards you and these college students and recent alums for writing this book because self-discovery's been painful. Although not intentional, it has been too easy to disappoint people who have other expectations of what my career trajectory should be.
This book will continually aid in my journey and I find comfort in knowing that I am not isolated when feelings of uncertainty and insecurities become overwhelming. So thank you so much for taking the time to address an issue that many Millennials know and feel all too well.
An amazing book and must read for youth and for people who want to understand the younger generation. The collection of stories of young leaders is fun to read, and the amount of wisdom and inspiration in those stories is very impressive.
Also, the author, Jason Ma, also provides outstanding insights, analysis, and recommendations to help young people to become the best version of themselves.

Tender and uplifting from start to finish, Young Leaders 3.0 is a prescient account of heroes in the making.
One of my personal heroes, Ngan Pham, is featured in the last chapter. Her courageous narrative resonates with all of us who struggle with depression, identity, and forgiveness. In the face of these challenges, she demonstrates strength and resilience. In self-reflection, she demonstrates honesty and vulnerability despite the crippling stigma around mental health. An amazing journey, from start to finish, yet just the beginning of her impact on the world. I know Ngan will inspire countless others through this book and through her career.
Altogether, I highly recommend Young Leaders 3.0 for its many and varied insights. Jason Ma's work will leave readers, especially next-generation achievers, compelled to action.
