Sean Michael has become an instant buy for me. I love Steven's reaction to finding Andy alive. He doesn't second guess or over think, he knows that he belongs with Andy. Andy's anger is understandable, but I liked that he's willing to listen. He's also honest about his feelings. He's spent a long time being hurt and believing a lie. My favorite part is that Steven isn't willing to let go of Andy now that he has him back. Andy can take his time coming to the place where he's willing to love again, but Steven is there and he's not leaving.Adult read

This was a good book. I loved the plot and storyline. Lovers who parted due to a tragic accident meet 10 years later and through persuasion by one get back together again. Sean Michael is one of my favorite authors and he never disappoints.
This was a great little book that can easily be read in one sitting. It has a lot of steam but also a great storyline. The power of love conquers all. It breaks through barriers and insecurities and brings life to the dead.
I also loved how Steven stood up to his parents for his love of Andy and they rode off into the sunset and lived happily ever after.
I do recommend this book. It has all the ingredients of a great story.

I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
This book was somewhat bitter sweet for me. It was a fast moving, reconnection that was almost too fast. While I can understand that the characters knew each other previously, there had been several years that had passed. I think I would have liked the story more had they taken more time to learn each other again.
That being said, they had amazing chemistry and their encounters were steamy, gently and probably like riding a bike.
I wish that there had been more to the story when it came to the family aspect – it felt too clean and cut off for me. Really, there was no drama in the story, only the hint that there would be drama.
Too clean of a story – but it was a sweet second chance romance and for the length of the story, it was OK.
Ten years ago Steven’s life crashed around him when he found out his lover, Andy, had died in a car crash. So he is stunned and suspicious when he comes across a man that is eerily familiar and claims to be Andy. But once he is convinced that this man is his Andy, nothing will stop Steven from claiming Andy again as his own – not even Andy himself!
When Andy woke up from a coma to find his body broken, almost beyond repair he was flabbergasted to find out that his lover, Steven, who had professed undying love, walked away from him. But Andy slowly recovered and his anger at Steven was a great motivator. So when he comes across Steven again he is still hurt when Steven doesn’t recognize him but also stunned to learn that Steven had thought him dead all these years.
Now, to make this work Andy will need to let go of his anger at Steven and Steven will have to work at proving to Andy that his love for him never died.
Out of the Past is a heartwarming story about love lost and found, while also proving that true love will survive even after death. Steven and Andy are men that have been damaged by the actions of their families and the lies they were told to keep them apart. However, when they come together and choose to forget the past and its hurts in order to build a future, it is a quick, yet beautiful thing to see. As readers have come to expect Sean Michael delivers a story with well-drawn characters and passion hot enough to singe your fingers. Out of the Past is a great read full of love and passion perfect for readers who like their romance with a spice of angst ending in the perfect HEA.

Andy and Steven were lovers for a year when Andy was killed in a car accident. Ten years later Steven is still mourning his lost love and can't move on.
In an odd twist of fate, Steven visits a bar that's Andy's regular watering hole. What are the chances. One denies, the other insists, and then the fall out and recovery. So this interesting story line takes on life.
Despite it being ten years, they fall back into old patterns. Sex first, figure out things later. I expected more resolve with moving on, feeling like they mesh on more levels than just sex. Andy talks about his family hating Steven yet they never appear. Such an elaborate hoax and yet no one came up to Steven and said. . . Andy is in the hospital. Not the police, paramedics, close friends, or family. And it's not like Andy hid, he lived a short distance away under his regular name. If Steven wanted to he could reach out to those that knew Andy and discover him sooner. Did Andy's family play into this hoax? Were they at the funeral, Andy's mother and father? It'd be odd burying a family member without any family there. What about that lawyer, even if he was Steven's, he worked for his mother -- So how could Steven fire his mother's lawyer? And of all things. .. I kept expecting the men to go together to the cemetery. Visit the grave. Visit the funeral home. So much needs closure yet all these two do is set the sheets on fire.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and loved Steven and Andy and their HEA. Being a novella, there were some unanswered questions, as other reviewers have mentioned. But suspend disbelief and you will enjoy a very sweet story.
