This is a beautifully written book sharing the author’s journey through the grief of losing her husband and both parents in less than a year. The author’s deep Christian faith shines through on every page. I bought a copy for a friend whose husband had recently died and read through it myself. Each mediation has four parts: a Bible quote, a story, the author’s thoughts about the story, and then a prayer. Each tells how she dealt with her grief and slowly rediscovered hope and joy in her life. I think even questioning believers could find comfort and hope in these pages.Product details

This book will be a great encouragement to those on the difficult grief journey. Rebecca understands grief well because of the loss of her husband and parents in only 11 months. Through her deep faith and Bible study, the Lord has given her the perfect verses to help her through this difficult time in her life. During her grief, Rebecca was able to share what the Lord had given her and write her devotional to help others who are also grieving the loss of a loved one. I highly recommend this book and have already sent 2 copies to people who have recently had great loss in their lives.
I met Rebecca at a writer's conference. I knew a little of her story but not all of it, so reading her book was very meaningful. She did a good job of helping me understand what it's like to experience so many losses so close together, yet hold on to faith. I liked how she interwove truth and hope with being real about how hard it's been. Her writings are brief and easy to read. They do bring comfort and encouragement. I'd recommend it to anyone who has walked a similar path, looking for ways to cope. Thank you for writing your story, Rebecca.
Rebecca Carpenter pours out her heart as she shares her difficult journey through grief. In just eleven months, she suffered the loss of her dear father, her beloved husband, and her precious mother. Many will be blessed and encouraged as they see how our faithful God met her deepest needs and brought her through the darkest days of her life.
I recommend this good book for those going through the grieving process. The author's heartfelt testimonies and selected scripture passages will bless the reader.
